I only shoot 8 film sessions a year so it’s best to book as soon as you can as they book out pretty quickly, usually 6 months in advance. Booking early also means you can pay off your sessions in instalments and work it into your family’s budget.

You can pay for your session in installments (usually monthly, over a period of 4 to 6 months) or alternatively, you can pay a 20% booking fee, with the rest of the fee due 2 weeks before your session.

I want to make this experience as easy & relaxed as possible for you. Once you’ve paid your booking fee (which confirms your session and secures your date) I’ll send you my Client Prep Guide which has everything you need to know about preparing for your session (it’s not as scary as it sounds, I promise!) We’ll set up a time to talk more in person (either on the phone or via zoom) so you can be as prepared as possible!

Given the ongoing global pandemic, if I feel even a little unwell we’ll reschedule your session. If you or your kids are feeling unwell we’ll do the same. There is no penalty for rescheduling.

For outdoor sessions dependant on weather, we’ll make the call on the day if it looks like it’s going to rain. Alternatively we can move the session indoors to your home or an Air BNB if we have enough notice.

Travel sessions: I only do film sessions when I travel and these will go ahead in your home (or an Air BNB) rain, hail or shine.

I have spent years developing my craft as a storyteller, and thousands of dollars on equipment to be able to shoot and edit video. I spend anywhere from 15-20hrs (sometimes even longer) to create a film, and it’s not something I can sit down and work on in small blocks of time. Video requires a great deal of time spent editing to get things just right, far more time than it takes for photos and an even greater amount of creative energy. It might seem expensive, and for sure it’s a huge investment that not every family can afford, but I guarantee you it's worth it and the value of that film will increase with every year that goes by after you've had it made.

Choosing the right song for your film is almost an art in and of itself. I only use licensed music, so commercial songs you hear on the radio won’t be an option anyway since it would be illegal for me to use them. If you have a genre preference I’m open to hearing more about that, but generally I recommend leaving the song choice with me. I’m pretty good at it, I promise.

Yes! I love to travel. I usually pick a couple of areas outside of Philadelphia each year to visit and I always build in time for travel sessions.
